WEATHER AND WATER series
This series is in reaction to Climate Change. I want each piece to stand on its own as art in your home but I also want it to be thoughtful.
HOME IS HOME AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS NOT series
What is the difference between house and home?
Home is an idea while a house is the manifestation of this idea. A house cannot be a home because there is only one true “home” in each individual’s life.
Home symbolizes the nostalgia of original place.

UKIDAMA
WEATHER AND WATER series
The glass floats (1844 to 1910) that fishermen use for their nets originated in Bergen, Norway and then the last people to use them were the Japanese fishermen.
Now they mostly use plastic ones. You can still find the odd one on the island of Guam in the South Pacific as that is where the currents will take them.
The glass like the plastic won’t decompose. I honoured both countries with their coins added to the piece.

RIVERBED FINDS
WEATHER AND WATER series
Clay pipes are a common find especially in English or Dutch riverbeds. They were one use and thrown away at the end of the day.
In 1558 tobacco was introduced by native Americans and in 1573 the first clay pipe was made. By 1914 they disappeared due to cigars, cigarettes and briar pipes. The pipes can be dated by size and style.
If you do the math you know how long the pipes have been in the river beds without decomposing.
