I bought this building in 1993 with my husband Arnt Arntzen (www.arntarntzen.com) and own it with another couple.  In the city of Vancouver, BC, it is hard to have studio stability with buildings being renovated, torn down or rents going up so both Arnt and I are very fortunate to own ours.  The other artists in our building are:

When not creating I use my space for artists get togethers, art nights and open studio events which include www.firstsaturday.ca  with over 100 artists opening their working studios and www.culturecrawl.ca. 

Paneficio Studios' community mandate is to reach out to east van artists and our storefront windows are used to reach out to the public.  In 2015 I started showcasing artists each month in my windows, exhibiting everything from photography, assemblage and mixed media to studio furniture and installations.  

Arnt and I were also involved in helping to create 2 other artists buildings in the late 80's/early 90's in Vancouver and they are still used by artists.  Franklin Street is home to many artists and to Franc Gallery and the other is White Monkey.
